At the helm is Melanie Casling, clasically trained in antique upholstery restoration, curtain making and interiors with over 20 years of industry experience. Melanie is our guiding light when it comes to good old fashioned practical know how and instinct in dealing with even the most complicated stitching job.
Melanie has a clear vision for The Curtain Room: ‘The Curtain Room’s unique offering is based on a timeless tradition of hand made style. We proudly create all of our works on our own premises as not to compromise quality. We are equipped to combine the best tradition of handmade window dressings and Interiors with materials to suit the widest range of tastes and styles’.
With a degree in fashion and textile design and a track record in the design industry, Vicky Crowder brings a wealth of creativity to our customer team. She has recently won an award for the Curtain Room’s Window displays as well as delighting our customers with her precise colour and pattern co-ordination skills.
Partner to Melanie, Paul brings some of the ‘harder’ skills to soft furnishing at The Curtain Room. With a background in the furniture industry, Paul deals with the upholstery stripping, frame repairs, pelmet making and fitting in our client’s homes. He is also a dab hand at IT!
Jackie is based in Hertfordshire. With a long standing interest in interior design she consults to The Curtain Room as a point of liaison for our clients in the south of the country.
